Andy's Man Club in search for temporary Leeds venue as group doubles in size in 2020

Andy’s Man Club is a mental health group aimed to ‘get men talking’.

It has helped save the lives of more than 800 men across the country since it was set up.

The club was formed in early 2016 by Halifax rugby league player Luke Ambler after his brother-in-law took his own life.

Since then, the group has expanded across the country and now has hundreds of men who attend every week.

There are now at least 90 members each week at the Leeds group.

The meetings moved online during coronavirus but leader Andy Wilson is now exploring options to return to face to face - with strict Covid prevention policies in place.

The group met at Leeds College of Building pre-lockdown but the space is unavailable at present.

In a post, AMC said: "We need your help...

"We are so close to getting all our groups and venues open but our Leeds venue is still on hold.

"Can anyone in Leeds offer us a potential temporary venue?

"It would be greatly appreciated and is so so needed right now.

"We have Covid policies in place to keep the venue clean and safe and all users.

"Please please share share share."
