Pensioner bailed after sexual assault on 11-year-old Leeds girl

A pensioner arrested by officers after a sexual assault on an 11-year-old girl in Leeds has been bailed.

Police said the incident happened at a bus stop in Commercial Street, Rothwell, at 7.25am last Thursday (January 12).

Following an appeal for information, a 72-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday night.

A police spokeswoman said he has now been bailed, pending further enquiries.
