Pedestrian seriously injured in double-decker bus collision in Leeds

Police were today appealing for witnesses after a man was hit by a double-decker bus in Leeds.

The 27-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries in the incident, which happened on North Street on the northern edge of the city centre at about 7.30pm yesterday.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said officers were particularly keen to speak to passengers who were on the bus at the time of the collision.

The incident took place at North Street’s junction with Byron Street, near Lovell Park, as the bus was travelling in the direction of the city centre.

Anyone with information is asked to ring West Yorkshire Police’s eastern area roads policing unit on 101, quoting log reference 1603 of February 6.
