Patient missing from Leeds hospital “confused”

Police say they urgently need to find a patient who could be “confused” after going missing from hospital in Leeds.

William Sutherland, 66, left St James’s Hospital at about 8am today (Tuesday) and was last seen at about 10.30am at Leeds railway station.

Det Insp Dave Austin, of Leeds District CID, said: “Mr Sutherland was receiving treatment prior to an operation and also has a medical condition that makes him very confused. We are very concerned for his welfare and would urgently like to hear from anyone who has seen him.”

Mr Sutherland was wearing a blue suit and a shirt.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact CID at Elland Road via 101 quoting log number 285 of April 7.
