A gala parade will roll through the streets of Holbeck ahead of the area’s annual celebration on Saturday.

Holbeck Gala’s traditional parade will be led by a majorettes troupe starting from Cleveleys Court at 11.30am to Holbeck Moor for the event. which runs from 12noon to 4pm.

A series of live music acts will perform on stage including The Blades, Homecut and The Bondurants, while a beer tent, climbing wall, exotic animals, barbecue, inflatables and a series of stalls will feature.

The Works skatepark, based near Crown Point, is set to send down riders who will perform BMX demos in Holbeck, while a piece of collaborative artwork will be created during the gala.

Volunteers are needed to support Holbeck Gala and there are still spaces available for would-be stall holders.
