It is thought that Declan was cycling behind the Suzuki shortly before the collision.

Officers yesterday made a fresh appeal for witnesses to come forward.

A police spokesman said: “Witnesses to the collision are being asked to contact police, especially other motorists in the area at the time who saw the Suzuki and the bicycle and how they were being driven and ridden along Hopton Avenue prior to the collision.”
