Pair charged with targeting Leeds shopkeeper in racial incident

A man and a woman are due to appear in court charged in connection with a racially-aggravated incident against a Polish shopkeeper in Leeds. 

The incident involving the 47-year-old victim happened at his shop in the Bramley Shopping Centre on June 28. 

John Szocze, aged 53, of Wyther Park Road, Bramley, has been charged with a racially-aggravated public order offence, a further public order offence and possession of a firearm. 

Jillane Szocze, aged 39, also of Wyther Park Road, Bramley, has been charged with a public order offence. 

Both of the accused are due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on October 26.
