Owl family caught on camera in Leeds

Have your say

rare images of a family of owls, including three baby birds, have been captured on camera by a Leeds nature photographer after months of work.

Paul Miguel, 35, of Cross Green, discovered the owls nesting on farm land on the outskirts of Leeds and spent weeks setting up a hide and watching the birds of prey in their natural habitat.

He said: “I found the nest in may and decided it would be a bit of a long-term project. I set up a hide so the birds would get used to it and then was able to get pictures of the adult birds and then the young birds when they started to appear. Eventually I saw the young birds fledge and leave the nest.”
