That is the warning from a Leeds charity as a new report today reveals the extent of support needed to tackle mental health in the wake of the pandemic.

Around 8.5m adults and 1.5m children in England are likely to need mental health support in the wake of Covid-19, according to the report from the Centre for Mental Health.

And just over one in five adults, with no previous history of mental health issues, now report that their mental health is poor or very poor according to a Mind study.

We have to tackle this ticking time bomb now before we face another health crisis.
