Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned “the weeks ahead will be the hardest yet”, but he called on the nation to “now more than ever” pull together.

We can’t afford to lose faith in this battle against an unseen assassin and compliance and clarity from leaders are at the absolute heart of this.

Arguably as the dark nights and cold winter days continue we are bracing ourselves for another dark moment in this global fight.

But we have a duty to look after each other and protect others in the hope that, as spring starts to bloom, there will finally be an end in sight to this enduring Covid nightmare.
