Why anglers say it is now safe for fishing lakes to reopen

I WONDER if any of your 
readers could tell me when we are likely to be allowed to re- open our fishing lakes to the public again?

We practise social distancing, and always have done so, by virtue of the fact that our fishermen are only allowed to fish from designated platforms, which are eight to 10 metres apart.

They sit in the beautiful countryside, in the fresh air, totally relaxed and stress free, with virtually no chance of being in close proximity to 
other persons, who may or may not be carrying the dreaded virus.

I watched with fury the scenes on TV at a well known superstore, which the Government has allowed to 
stay open during the 
pandemic.

There were vast crowds of customers, queuing to enter this particular store and they appeared to be in very close to one another during which time they would be in an almost perfect position to transmit or receive the disease.

Meanwhile we, along with countless other fishing venues across the country, are not allowed to open our gates to our desperate customers.

Why?
