Leeds Council leader Judith Blake guilty of double standards – Yorkshire Post Letters

THE leader of Leeds City Council, Judith Blake, is quoted (The Yorkshire Post, June 13) as criticising the Government for not consulting those affected before changing the rules on use of public transport during the coronavirus outbreak.

“We can do these things far better locally,” she said.

That will stick in the throat of well over 3,000 residents of West Ardsley.

They have objected to a current planning application, where the council has failed to put relevant documentation before the public on such a regular basis that it is beginning to look like deliberate policy rather than normal incompetence.

The council has taken advantage of the coronavirus outbreak to change its decision from refusal to approval behind the backs of the residents.

Can I suggest that Coun Blake puts her own house in order before criticising others?
