Can you believe we’re halfway through the season?

And what a season it’s been! It’s flown by, but we’ve got so many amazing memories already.

The results, performances and goals have exceeded all expectations and it means, overall, we’ve had a pretty stress-free return to the top flight.

In fact, things are going from strength to strength off the pitch as well.

The 49ers announced this week that they have increased their stake in the club and I was fortunate enough to speak to new Vice Chairman Paraag Marathe and, of course, Chairman, Andrea Radrizzani and their optimism about the future of this club was wonderful to witness.

Leeds United has once more cemented it’s place at the heart of the community, by opening its doors to those who have been invited for the Covid vaccine.

I love that Leeds was the first Premier League club to offer its facilities as a vaccination centre. It speaks volumes about the desire to be a beacon within the city.

If you haven’t listened to the Official Leeds United podcast already, Patrick and the lads have been nominating teammates for different awards (some of which they won’t want to win!) and we’ll be rolling out the red carpet and handing out the trophies in next week’s episode!

Patrick also revealed that he hid a teammates car last season, and it took him a month to work out it was him.

I won’t spoil it for you, but you’ll definitely enjoy the story!

Back on the pitch, every game is important, but that win against Newcastle felt really important for us.

It wasn’t pretty and there were moments I wasn’t sure how it was going to end. And even Marcelo admitted it was difficult.

But it’s inevitable that those games are going to be part of the make-up of being in the Premier League, and in my opinion, managing to grind out a win in those circumstances shows character.

I’m really excited about tomorrow’s game. Leicester are a great side and I’m sure it will be a very different match to the one at St James’s Park.

We saw at Elland Road how deadly the Foxes can be, so hopefully we can secure some revenge!
