Acts of kindness are what set us apart during coronavirus pandemic

From checking on a neighbour, donating to hospitals or volunteering to keep others safe, the people of Leeds and beyond have led the way with their selflessness.

And yet another shining example of that kindness is the outpouring of support thrown behind the family of Ellis Price.

As reported by the YEP, the terminally ill three-year-old, who is receiving palliative care at his home in Wakefield, celebrated Christmas early yesterday.

Well-wishers sent the youngster hundreds of presents, as his garden was transformed into a winter wonderland.

Leeds United also treated Ellis and his family a VIP tour of Elland Road.

It is always heartening when kindness manifests into something that brightens up the life of someone living through dark days.

And that kindness will always be what sets us apart.
