A Young at Arts project

Yorkshire Dance and The Real Junk Food Project have teamed up to create ‘Food For Thought’, which will be a showcase of memories and experiences of cooking.

It is also a project aimed at tackling issues of loneliness and social isolation.

At five workshops, ten people, aged 55 and over, will work with young people from the Young At Arts group to prepare an evening meal and share stories of cooking and reminisces of family meal times.

The stories will be compiled into a performance to be shown at the Young at Arts Weekend of Wonder event in July.

The first workshop is Tuesday February 28 , 4pm to 6.30pm at Armley Junk-tion Cafe on Chapel Lane. Others will be the last Tuesday of the month up to and including June.
