Video: The physics-defying moment when a section of turf at a local park started to WOBBLE

Have your say

The remarkable footage shows a man walking his dog and stepping on part of the grass which makes a ripple-effect across the ground - like a slab of green jelly.

Visitors to Sutton Park in St Helens, Merseyside, were greeted to the strange sight as the water-logged grass started to bob up and down after heavy rain. The footage wouldn’t go a-miss from a scene from the mind-bending blockbuster Inception. But people are being warned to leave the swollen grass alone - because it could be above a sink hole which is ready to drop under the weight of excess water. Video owner Lauren Roberts, 50, said: “I just couldn’t believe it at first, it just looks like a giant water bed doesn’t it.
