TORRENTIAL rain caused havoc for staff and shoppers at a supermarket in Perry Barr when it started leaking through the roof.

Staff and customers watched on in disbelief as rainwater started pouring down from the ceiling near the check-outs in Asda at One Stop Shopping Centre earlier this afternoon. A spokeswoman for the centre said the rainwater had now been cleared up and that the store was open for business as usual.
