Video - Remarkable time-lapse footage shows brick-by-brick demolition of massive Dover building - in less than 60 seconds

Have your say

Builders painstakingly demolished a massive, 12-storey building without damaging neighbouring properties – by taking it apart brick-by-brick.

Dover District Council released remarkable time-lapse footage of the demolition of Burlington House building during works to regenerate the area, shrinking the month-long destruction into less than 60 seconds. The site in the Kent town is set to be completely cleared by January to make way for a new cinema and hotel. The Dover District Council acquired the site in July, which included the multi-storey car park, the County Hotel and Burlington House.
