Adorable pair Jerry the Jack Russell Terrier and Harvey the Tibetan Terrier have until now been living aboard a barge.

Their owner is unable to look after 14-year-old Jerry and Harvey, 13, after falling ill - so the pair are hoping set sail for a new life. The inseparable twosome were rescued from ill treatment six years ago by their devoted owner who took them to live on her barge. Carers at the rehoming centre have nicknamed the pooches Captain Jerry and First Mate Harvey. The sweet-natured terriers are in good health and love chasing each other around.


Advice was issued in the 1980s about steps people should take in the event of a nuclear attack.
