SHOPPERS were stranded in an ASDA store for more than half an hour after rainwater burst though the roof and gushed into the aisles.

Shocked customers were forced to run for cover after water cascaded into the store at One Stop shopping centre Perry Barr, Birmingham at just after 1pm.

Raj Rattu, 40, captured this dramatic footage.

Staff and customers watched on in disbelief as rainwater started pouring down from the ceiling near the check-outs.

A spokeswoman for the centre said the rainwater had now been cleared up and that the store was open for business as usual.
