Trendy Amanda Booth, 54, was devastated when her son Stuart, 30, was killed in December 2008, and vowed to live life to the full.

But it took her until this year to finally fulfil her modelling dreams by entering a beauty pageant, and next month will compete in the over 30s competition Ms Galaxy. Competition bosses confirmed she is the oldest competitor, and is likely to be more than 20 years older than her fellow finalists.
