Video - Dad misses out on £120K insurance payout after horror motorcycle crash - because he only lost one LEG

Have your say

Hein Pretorius, 44, was left without a leg to stand on by his insurers, who hid the detail in fine print that they only pay out to customers that lose more than one limb.

The dad-of-three, from Tunbridge Wells, Kent, was on his way to work when a head-on collision left him with two broken legs, as well as a broken femur and pelvis. To make matters worse, his employer’s also made him redundant from his £50,000-a-year hospitality job shortly after the accident on August 22.
