Matthew Solly, 26, and his partner – who does not want to be named – say they were terrified when Ivor Fletcher flipped and started shouting death threats at them.
Fletcher, who had been “friendly” for the first 10 months, allegedly suddenly changed two weeks before Christmas and trashed their fence, smoked drugs openly and woke them up at all hours. Matthew claims every time he called the police, they just gave Fletcher a warning and then left – without taking any action. But when Matthew and his girlfriend decided to look into their neighbour’s background, they were stunned to find out he was wanted by Interpol. Incredibly, even though they alerted officers three weeks ago, they say no action has yet been taken as West Midlands Police are “powerless” to help with Interpol matters.
