A car burst into flames on Scotland’s busiest motorway yesterday (Wed) after smashing into a barrier and causing traffic chaos across Glasgow’s city centre.

Witnesses looked on as the white Vauxhall Corsa was gripped by a raging blaze after ending up on the central reservation of the M8 at around 12.34pm. The incident happened near Glasgow Royal Infirmary, causing two lanes of the M8 Westbound to be closed with one lane of the Eastbound also closed.
