The Fine Cheese Co. is recalling Pickled Walnuts for Cheese, Pickled Cherries for Cheese, Pickled Pears for Cheese and Pickled Figs for Cheese.

The manufacturer has discovered that all batches of the product contain mustard seeds which are not mentioned on the label.

Allergy to mustard is rare, but if consumed by a sufferer can lead to irritation of sinuses, the lungs, the digestive tract and the skin, and in the most severe cases can cause anaphylactic shock.

A company statement read: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to mustard, do not eat it. Instead, return the product to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.”
