A NEW restaurant in Leeds city centre is bringing a taste of Thailand to Yorkshire.
Traditional Thai street food eatery Zaap Thai has set up shop within the Grand Arcade at the lower end of Merrion Street.
The venue has taken over the former Handpicked Hall site and can seat more than 100 diners.
The people behind the venture are also behind Sukothai, which has restaurants in Leeds city centre, Chapel Allerton and Headingley.
The restaurant includes a chill-out sofa area, neon signs, street art and a tuk-tuk area where you can also eat.
Zaap Thai will serve up dim sum, thai salads and chicken satay dishes, with a spicy twist.
It opened its doors to the public tonight (May 18).
