A peckish burglar has been spared prison after he broke into a village shop - and stole a packet of BISCUITS.
Samuel Greenwood, 22, first targeted the Sellindge Village Hall in Ashford, Kent, where he stole a laptop, cash and alcohol.
He then broke into to a local shop where he nabbed a single packet of biscuits.
Greenwood pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary at the Channel Magistrates’ Court last week and was handed a 9pm to 6am curfew.
He was given a 12 week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and was ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work.
