It’s the Great Yorkshire Vegan Festival in Leeds this weekend.

To get you in the mood, here are our favourite vegan treats in Leeds.

The jackfruit is being nicknamed ‘the new pulled pork for vegans’.

Try it for yourself at Roots and Fruits at the Grand Arcade.

The cakes and biscuits at Global Tribe Cafe are vegan, unless stated otherwise, and many of them are baked on the premises. Yum!

Try the Onion Gobi Bhaji Bhaji at Bundobust, made with onion, cauliflower and spinach served with a tamarind and red pepper chutney.

Scrambled tofu tastes way better than it sounds.

Served with chipotle beans at Roots and Fruits, it’s definitely worth a try.

No 2 Oxford Place’s beetroot carpaccio has ruby, yellow and candy-striped chioggia beetroot and is a feast for your eyes and palate.
