IT’S all change as Baracoa Luxe Bar says goodbye to its prime site near Call Lane.
The bar is set to close on January 31 after more than four years in business.
Owners Jimmy and Symon Dean told Leeds City Buzz they chose to sell up after accepting a substantial offer from a ‘major leisure group’.
But the brothers say there are plans in the pipeline to open a new version of the bar elsewhere in the city centre.
Symon said: “Opening just as the recession took hold, seeing so many venues come and go in the short space of time we have been here, our success has been created by a following and loyalty.
“We built our business with a genuine passion and hope we have given the city some amazing memories.”
Jimmy added: “We have had a number of approaches from other operators interested in the site. And with a great deal of thought and consideration, we agreed to sell.”
He added: “We would like to thank all our customers for their love and support.”
To give the venue a good send-off, Baracoa will host a special closing party on Saturday, January 31.
