MANY OF us will have hazy memories of warbling into a microphone at OK Karaoke.

When the venue closed back in 2013, it left many of us in limbo wondering where we could unleash our singing skills.

But there’s a big change going on at the huge building on East Parade.

The site at the end of Greek Street has now been split into two.

The karaoke booths downstairs have been transformed into a basement bar called The Office, which opened earlier this year.

The upstairs area is also set to be turned into a traditional tapas restaurant called La Rambla.

Named after Barcelona’s most well-known and busy street, the restaurant will now have stiff competition from newly opened Pintura, near Trinity Leeds.

City Buzz understands that La Rambla is due to open any time now.

So watch this space and we’ll bring you an update as soon as we can.

Fingers crossed this new tapas restaurant opens its doors pretty soon.

We can’t take the wait much longer!
