AFTER weeks of speculation, City Buzz can finally reveal the new bar that’s heading for Greek Street.
The Liquorist is set to take over the former Living Room venue in the city centre.
The site announced it was going to close last month and had a big send-off party before shutting on April 6.
Now Stonegate Pub Ltd – the company behind the Living Room – is re-branding the venue and giving it a facelift ready for its upcoming opening on Tuesday, May 5.
Stonegate Pub Ltd also owns Yates’s, Slug and Lettuce and Missoula Bars, so hopefully we’re in safe hands with this new addition.
The Liquorist will serve cocktails, wines and an eclectic mix of world beers, ales and craft lagers.
The bar will also offer a decent food menu including salads, steaks, burgers and desserts.
There will be daily deals too, and the one that caught our eye is Monday’s ‘Prime and Wine’ night, which offers a rump steak and glass of wine for just £10.
And their happy hour offers sound good too, with cocktails at just £5 from 4pm to 9pm every day.
This bar will be one of the exciting new additions to the street before the ball really gets rolling.
It will be closely followed by The Alchemist (which is opening its second Leeds city centre bar), Italian restaurant Gusto (at the former Henry’s Bar site), and the five-star Dakota hotel (which is taking over the old car park and Akbar’s site).
It seems there are exciting times ahead for this little city centre street!
