LEEDS’ own singing star Luke Friend has finally announced when he’ll be stepping on stage in his hometown.
The 18-year-old (who came third in The X Factor) will tour the country next month, and will be stopping off at Leeds University’s Mine venue on Monday, April 20.
Singer Luke, who is originally from Chapel Allerton, releases his debut, self-penned single ‘Hole in My Heart’ on March 29.
Originally starting off busking, it’s nice to see that this talented Leeds musician is doing well.
Speaking previously to City Buzz, Luke said he missed Leeds and was keen to come back.
Last time he gigged here it was on one of the biggest stages in the city – the First Direct Arena – when he sang in front of thousands of people as part of The X Factor tour last year.
The singer has since signed a deal with RCA records and co-written songs with Scouting For Girls’ Roy Stride and members of rock band Lower Than Atlantis.
Speaking about his song-writing, he said: “I love being in the studio and writing songs.
“It’s one of the most beautiful things you can do.”
