It’s the bank holiday! Time to celebrate. Here are a few of the best ways to spend your weekend.
Grapeful, Leeds Town Hall
Wine lovers will descend on Leeds Town Hall this weekend for the first ever Grapeful event.
The two-day wine festival starts on Saturday, May 23 and runs for 10 whole hours each day – from 12pm to 10pm.
For £25 a ticket, visitors can sample 100 wines from around the world, take part in masterclasses and tuck into cheese and charcuterie. Yum!
Leeds Feast, The Tetley
To round-off the Leeds Indie Food Festival celebrations, a huge closing party will be held at The Tetley this weekend.
The two-day Leeds Feast event starts today and features 30 food traders plus a craft beer tent, cocktails and children’s area.
Entry is free for Leeds Indie Food Passport holders or £2 in advance by visiting www.leedsindiefood.co.uk for tickets.
Things are getting pretty busy at Leeds Dock.
On Friday (May 22) there’s a ‘Food Fight’ event with a pop-up bar, street food and DJ sets.
Then on Saturday, May 23 there’s a 1940’s-themed vintage market from 10am to 4pm to mark VE Day’s 70th anniversary, with live music, lindy-hop dance lessons and hair and make-up artists.
