She proved herself the cream of the sporting crop during the Olympics.

So who better than Leeds boxing hero Nicola Adams to help front an advertising campaign extolling the virtues of milk?

Nicola and her fellow London 2012 gold medallists Laura Trott and Jade Jones were today announced as the latest faces of the make mine Milk campaign.

Buses across the country will now be carrying pictures of the trio, each with an unmistakable milk ‘tash’ on their top lip.

Nicola, from Ebor Gardens, said: “Before every fight, including my gold medal fight in London, I have a bowl of Frosties with low fat milk to get my day off to the best possible start.

“That routine’s been working pretty well for me, so I won’t be changing it any time soon!”

The make mine Milk campaign has previously been backed by famous names such as former Leeds United star Vinnie Jones.
