The new features at the TCV (The Conservation Volunteers) site at Stourton have sprung up through hard work by volunteers and help from the Veolia Environmental Trust’s Landfill Communities Fund. The walkway has opened just ahead of the popular ‘A Winter’s Trail’ events, which run from December 19 to 21. Project officer Toby Roberts said: “We chose to work in oak and recycled plastic so that the structures will last a long time, and will enjoyed be by thousands of visitors.”

There are also plans to create a native wild flower meadow in the spring.
