Now, we can reveal the award-winning restaurant group will open the Leeds site in April.

The company’s seventh restaurant will take over the Grade II-listed Hepper House – a former auction House – on East Parade.

Spanish designer Lazaro Rosa Violan is designing the restaurant, which will have dark blue tones, dark wood interiors, a curved staircase and wood panelling.

Ibérica’s executive head chef Nacho Manzano has developed the menu, which will offer tapas along with larger dishes such as paella.

The restaurant has space for 150 diners over three floors.

In addition, Ibérica will also have an its own in-house delicatessen and wine bar, which will be accessible from a separate entrance on the opposite side of the building and will serve smaller plates.

It will have competition though, as La Rambla tapas restaurant is just a stone’s throw away and opened its doors last year.

It’s an exciting time for this side of the city centre, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store.
