It’s the latest in a string of new signings for the scheme and follows luxury British menswear retailer Hackett, Anthropologie, Cos, The White Company and fine dining international restaurant group D&D.

Gant, which also has sites in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow, identified Leeds as a key destination. Fergus Patterson, UK managing director, said: “Leeds featured highly on our acquisition list and the quality of the development [...] made Victoria Gate a compelling proposition.”

Robin Dobson, director of retail development at Hammerson, which owns the site, said: “Attracting new brands to Leeds reinforces the perception of the city as a vibrant northern hub that is on course to become a best in class retail, leisure and dining destination.”
