New '˜little free libraries' are up and running in Leeds
The founder of Leeds Little Free Library, who opened her first in Headingley earlier this year, has just installed another in Bramley and a third in West Ardsley.
The colourful kiosks at the side of the road are packed with books which people can borrow or add to - at no cost.

Hide AdThanks to the support of local communities, a little library is now up and running on Landseer Grove in Bramley and in the Haigh Moor Road area of West Ardsley. Plans are still underway to install a further library in Farsley as well as more in Headingley and Roundhay.
With the instruction: ‘take a book, leave a book’, the libraries add to two others previously set up in the city in Garforth. Speaking to the YEP about the success of the Headingley library, Carry said: “I’m really hoping it will spread so that books are a feature of Leeds - to make it something to stand out about our city.”
