New lambs are springing into action in Leeds

This little woolly wonder certainly isn’t feeling sheepish at a Leeds farm.

He is one of six adorable lambs - a mix of Kerry Hill and Norfolk Horns - were born earlier this week at Temple Newsam.

And staff at Home Farm are now expecting a busy few weeks, with 70 more ewes expected to give birth over the coming weeks.

As well as the latest flock of lambs, the farm has also welcomed a litter of piglets, with another due in the next few days

Coun Mark Dobson, executive member for cleaner, stronger and safer communities, said: “It is always an exciting time at Home Farm when newborns start arriving as well as being a traditional sign that spring is almost here.

“I know staff at the farm will be looking forward to introducing the new additions to everyone who comes along over Easter.”
