The concept involves a group of people tackling a physical adventure game where they are ‘locked’ in a room and have to find and solve clues and puzzles to escape within the set time limit.

Locked In and Tick Tock Unlock are just some of the names that have set up games in the city so far.

But now a new company is setting its sights on Leeds.

The Great Escape, which already has a site in Sheffield, is looking to invest in Leeds.

Hannah Duraid and Peter Lecole, who are behind the independent company, are currently eyeing up part of Atlas House on King Street in the city centre.

The plans could see a reception area and bar space on the first floor, with six different rooms upstairs for the escape games.

According to TripAdvisor, The Great Escape is currently in the number one spot for ‘fun and games’ in Sheffield, with rave reviews from customers, so we’re hoping it will prove a hit in Leeds too.

With news that Parapark is also looking to set up a site in Leeds, we’re sure these won’t be the last escape games to join the ranks.
