The first Ossett Beercart Festival saw morris dancers from across the country haul a decorated cart through the town centre.

The specially made ‘beercart’ was pulled from the Ossett Brewery on Saturday morning to mark the opening of a beer festival at Ossett Town Hall.

Wakefield Morris Dancers were joined by 13 other morris sides from around the country, while 42 different beers were available at the weekend-long event.

Proceeds will go towards Wakefield Hospice and next year’s festival.
