What is the cause of this pollution in a Leeds stream?

The bright green water was spotted in Gledhow Beck, part of Gledhow Valley Woods in north Leeds.

The Friends of Gledhow Valley group were unable to confirm what had caused the discoloration in the beauty spot's beck.

Yorkshire Water have sent a technician out to the spot to investigate the problem on Tuesday.
