The Charity Dreamgirls band will close this week’s Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards.

The ceremony will go ahead on Friday night at New Dock Hall in Leeds.

The founder of the band, Huddersfield-born retail expert and philanthropist Kate Hardcastle, has revealed that a very special guest will join them – but is sworn to secrecy about who it is.

The group of volunteers perform musical shows for charities to raise awareness about their cause in an accessible way.

Mother-of-three Kate, 40, said: “Yorkshire is one of the most amazing places for charity. We are some of the kindest.”
