Music news: Coasts to play Trinity Kitchen on Thursday October 29 (free), from 6.30pm

Radio One Live Lounge stars, Coasts, are set to play in Leeds on Thursday October 29. The free gig will see Bristol’s very own indie band, Coasts, play a live set following their recent appearance on Radio One’s Live Lounge.

The band have outgrown their Somerset roots and will be hitting the phenomenally successful Trinity Kitchen next week to promote their upcoming, self-titled debut album.

They recently appeared on Zane Lowe’s coveted Hottest Record under their be. tonight’s event will see support from Dive In, and will see the street food vendors on hand throughout to provide fans topped up with tasty treats and special offers.

Coasts are an English rock band, formed in Bristol, in 2011. The group consists of Chris Caines (vocals), Liam Willford (guitar), James Gamage (bass), David Goulbourn (keyboards) and Ben Street (drums). They are most notable for their singles ‘A Rush of Blood’ and ‘Oceans’. ‘A Rush of Blood’ was named Zane Lowe’s ‘Hottest Record’ in October 2014. The single has also featured on Made in Chelsea. ‘Oceans’ has achieved over four million plays on Soundcloud. Coasts signed a record deal with Warner Music and with Capitol Records in the USA, in late 2014.
