Music festival feeling to return to south Leeds for Rhubarbfest 2016

A free community music festival will see 18 Yorkshire-based bands take to two stages in south Leeds later this month.

The sixth annual Rhubarbfest will see performers including Lost Meridian, Drax and Benson perform at stages outside the Unicorn Inn and inside Carlton Social Club, in Carlton, on Sunday May 29 from 12noon.

The event will also host a funfair featuring face painting, rides, candy floss and a fire engine as well as stalls, food and drink.

Other bands to feature include The Indigo Project, Danny Malone, Hope, Kinkymonkey, Danny McNally, Molly Rymer and The Loz Campbell Band.

Free parking is being laid on by Greenfield Produce while Main Street, in Carlton, is closed to traffic on the day of the festival from 6am until midnight.

The festival, originally organised by Carlton Village Residents Association, has been put together by The Unicorn Inn, Carlton Social Club and MJ Leisure this year.
