A NEW multi-million pound health clinic is set to open at a Leeds shopping centre.
The Merrion Centre has completed a multi-million pound deal with NHS Trust in Leeds for the pioneering health clinic, which will take up a 7,000 sq ft site and will open this autumn.
Bosses expect that around 45,000 people will use the facility every year.
Edward Ziff is chairman and chief executive at Town Centre Securities, which owns the shopping centre. He said: “We are very pleased that the NHS Trust in Leeds has chosen the Merrion Centre as the site for its new health centre.
“We believe it will be a significant benefit for the local community.”
The Merrion Centre is also home to 100 shops, cafés, restaurants and office and leisure space.
The shopping centre, which attracts over 11.2million visitors a year, celebrated its 50th birthday last year.
