The future of a much-loved Leeds pub looks to have been secured after it emerged a new landlord has been found.
Last week, outgoing publican announced on Facebook that the Grove Inn, in the shadows of Bridgewater Place in Back Row, looked set for closure this week. But owner Enterprise Inns has since said that a new tenant has been found.
A spokesman for the pub chain told the YEP that after renovation the pub should reopen “in the next few days”.
The former Leeds Campaign for Real Ale pub of the year is renowned for its range of beer and long-running folk night.
On Friday its departing landlord said: “We wish the new occupant the best of luck and long live the Grove Inn.”
