Mounted police in Leeds city centre ahead of Millwall game

It is the first time the two clubs have met at Elland Road since February 2015.

Mounted police were out in Leeds, and police said they had "sufficient resources" if there is any trouble.

Police have reviewed the match and decided a ticket voucher scheme or early kick-off is not necessary.

Supt Derek Hughes, who is leading the policing operation, said: "We are very much aware that there is a strong rivalry between the two clubs and that sadly in the past there has been disorder outside the ground involving minority hooligan elements from both sides.

"Thankfully it has been many years since we have seen any serious problems."

He added: "We will obviously have sufficient resources on hand should there be any issues but our main focus will be on working with the fans of both teams to ensure everyone can come along and have a safe and enjoyable time."
