Motorway crash near Castleford leaves one in hospital

A MOTORWAY smash involving four vehicles caused long delays on the M62 today (July 8).

One person was taken to hospital after the incident, which happened on the eastbound carriageway of the M62, between junction 31 at Castleford and junction 32 at Pontefract, just before 1pm.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said there were no life-threatening injuries and the person taken to hospital suffered minor injuries.

It is understood the incident was cleared from the road at around 2.40pm.
