A MOTHER says she is having to move house in order to allow their daughter to get to her new school.

Susan McGrane, from East Ardsley, applied for her daughter Milly to attend Outwood Grange Academy, in Wakefield, but was unsuccessful. She appealed to Wakefield Council, but was rejected.

Now she has complained about that appeal hearing after claiming her concerns were not listened to. Wakefield Council said the appeal panel was independent and impartial.

It said as the case had been referred to the Education Funding Agency it could not comment further.
